Thumbs up Delivery time CAN be short... (in EU)

Hi guys,

I ordered my 335i Coupe on Jan. 22th and I just went to check it out at the dealer. It came in on Feb. 23th. How about that!:rocks:

BTW, I know why the dealer threw in it's weight (they're pretty big) at the factory: They really want my killer E46 M3 ASAP. It's a month away from being 5 yrs. old (that's the limit) and that means they can still sell it again with 2 yrs. full factory warranty which is a strong selling point of course. I bet they allready have their eye on a potential customer. The sales guy grinned when I blew his cover.

Anyway, in the excitement to check it out I forgot my camera and phone. I would have liked to show you guys some pre-delivery shots. It's Graphite with Coral BUT I have the shiny Black Trim AND the Black Roof Lining.
This means a simple 2-tone interior with a few silver accents on gear, iDrive, wheel and shift paddles. I don't want to brag and sofar I haven't seen this exact config anywhere but it's absolutely gorgeous! IMHO the perfect combination for the interior and a worthy successor for my Kiwi/Titan M3.
I'm not a 100% convinced about the exterior of the E92 yet, it seems a little plain compared to the muscles of the M, even with the 230 rims. I will miss the turning of heads that an M usually causes. In 1,5-2 weeks I will find out for sure and I'll post pics for you who are interested.

You're lucky to have a dealer like that I ordered mine approx. at the same date and am expecting delivery around March 20th, which for 335i i believe is still fast after reading a few posts on the forum (3-4 months).

Awesome! From some older posts I recall some of the longest wait times being in the West, such as Hawaii.

you can get the 335i rather quickly in EU, my dealer told me he could get me one in less than 2 months. Try ordering a 335d and you ll wait forever.
3 weeks and still no production date for mine

How do you get the head liner to be black? I thought they were only gray?

That's nothing. I ordered my most recent 3er on July 10 of last summer, it was produced on the 17th and picked up by me on July 31st.

Calif has to wait 3-4 weeks just for it to make the boat ride over.

Over here it's in the 2007 pricelist all the way down under 'BMW Individual'. Option code 775, Shadow Line and Extra Tinted Rear Windows are also there.

I also wanted the Shadow Line but thought it was too expensive. The black head liner changes the entire look of the interior dramatically and there's where I spent most of my time with the car.
