Happy CNY, mlai and everyone else.
Very quite here but hope everyone driving the F10 is having fun. My wife always complains the body roll of my F10 whenever I am driving on the South Bay side. She never complained when I was driving my E46. She said she wants to throw up, am I driving too aggressive? Honestly there is more body roll now than my old car, for those of you who has Adaptive Drive may be better. I am seriously looking into the lowering springs or sport suspension for reduced body roll. After looking into Lacster's review on the KW V3, I am very interested. But not sure if I want to invest so much for my new car now or just switch to H&R for lower cost. Wish kfiend can give us more review on the H&R, but this brother seems to be very busy and logged in very seldom.

Happy new year everyone! Hope you all had a good break!
RC3 I get the same feedback from my wife and kids that riding in the F10 gives them a case of carsickness. Looking to try out the acs springs to see if it improves the floating feeling. |

for H&R, I have two quotes from 2 vendors, one $3,800, one $4,000 installed.

I was thinking acs as I understand that the ride would be the least compromised. Yes would prefer that it's done by BMW. I'm also looking for a 1" drop nothing too dramatic. Do u know if the ride on the h and r will be harsh?

Happy CNY everyone!
I don't know about the ride as passengers, no one has said anything.. but I do drive more restraint as chaffeur. I think body roll may be an issue if you want to drive sporty and fun.. then you may need change susp. .. can upgrade to thicker 'M' ARBs as well |

kfiend has the H&R and he said the ride quality is much better now, no more body roll. But he has the Dynamic Drive (active stabilizers) which comes with the Adaptive Drive option and I don't. For KW V3, since we have the Dynamic Driving Control standard in Hong Kong (expect the 523i executive I suppose), it seems this no longer is an option for us as suggested by lacaster. Otherwise the function will be lost with the KW V3. So, for the time being it seems I am leaning toward the H&R since it only cost around $4k installed.

Another thing is my car still hesitates and jerks whenever in low speed especially in sport mode, how about yours? This is a known issue for many F10s, may be I need to see if I need to take it in to BMW if it still occurs after my run in period.

i dont have the hesitation problem at all .. only rarely when i mis-apply the peddal.. it is not an issue for me though, cuz i know what causes it to occur (for me) so i just dont do it and its fine but i get 'ekk' screeching noise with brakes at release and to full stop.. but i t hink its misapplication as well, i have mostly adapted to this and its very minor/not an issue u through break in yet? how many revs u gone up to? im at 2.6k km, and i have gone up to 6600rpm .. very fun .. waiting for u, haha |

revs mostly under 3k but already found not many people can blow me by. but once I was climbing up the hill on sport mode. it didn't switch gear for no reason and had gone up to almost 6k rpm, that scared me and I released the gas pedal immediately. so weird.

911 turbo is a beast, his is a previous 996 model. very rustic and raw. certainly no problem on body roll, planted on the road like no others can.
of course not as comfy and full of gadgets like the F10.
