would a rotor that has gouged by a rock stock on a brakdpad be covered under warranty
just noticed i have 2 circles on one of my brake discs. they aren't super deep, but deep enough to feel with a fingernail. looks like maybe 2 rock pebbles were stuck on the brakepad and were ground away. or maybe it's just a defective brakepad.
wondering if it's a waste of time to go to the dealer. would they cover rocks in brakepads under warranty? eventually, the rotor will wear away and be even but the 2 channels are deep enough that that will take prolly over 10,000 miles.

You can call and see if they will cover it.
If they replace pads and rotors for the sensor squeak I would think they would change them for a gouge in the rotor. Unlikely but it could fail depending on how thick your rotor is. |

Most rotors wear creating concentric grooves and hills.
Unless these are incredibly and unusually deep, I'd not even think about it. -scheherazade |
