Folks with KW coilovers...please come in!

Hey guys, I ordered a set of V2 today. Planning on installing it this weekend. As you know with coilover, installing is only half the battle. The other half is driving around the block and adjusting the height to your liking..can take a lot of time taking the wheels on and off.

What I want to ask you is that at what perch do you guys have yours at? I'm riding on 19 inch wheels right now, and want no finger gap at all. I want to know so I can use the info I get from here as a guideline so I don't have to start from all the way to from the top and lower it a couple of perch at a time, haha. Thanks fellas!

And how long did it took for you to install it? This will be my first time working on a Euro so I don't know what to expect, lol. I was surprised that the rear shocks aren't on the springs, like the Japanese cars I'm familiar with.

I just got mine installed this weekend...I had a shop do it since I heard that the rears are a bi*ch to do! I don't really know what the perch was, maybe like 1/3 from the top. I'm rolling on stock 18" wheels right now and have 1.5 finger gap front and 1 finger in the back. I'll dump it once I get my LMs.

Good luck if you are going to install them yourself!

Just wondering what shop did you get it installed at and how much did you paid? We put in coilover on our cars before, similar set up with the E90 where you need to remove the panel. We've done turbo installs, o2 housings, intakes, downpipes, catbacks, fuel pumps, wastegate actuators, etc. so I think we can handle it?

PS I'm on 19s now and I have 2 finger gap in front and 1 in rear so I think I gained a bit in diameter over the sports package 162 wheels and I'm still on stock sports suspension right now.

It looks like one finger gap is necessary up front for the KWs when paired with the 19 inch Iforgeds. No finger gap will cause rubbing issues
