What are your goals? Track driving (what kind), looks only, etc. What kind of wheel clearance do you have (not all BBKs will fit behind all wheels)?

i use the car at track every now and then, but i do participate in rallies around the town with the Porsche group and last time i participated my brakes did not felt good. (my last vehicle was a cayman S) I want more stooping power and looks don't kill either. I have clearance since I'm running 19'' wheels

the Stop Tech 4 disk and caliper does not look bad either.

Oh c'mon. Be HONEST. Your car will NEVER ever see the hot side of the pit at any track.

its not the hot side of the pit, its just been comfortable with the stopping power that you car haves. My Cayman S stopped beautifully and the E46 M3 Comp Package stopped very nicely, the 335i does not stop like my past vehicles.............. that's all

You do realize that if you can engage your ABS, then a BBK won't improve stopping power, right? A BBK will improve consistency and reliability. Tires will improve stopping power more than anything else. If you don't like the feel of your brakes then a change in pad compound would help too.
I'm not trying to discourage you, just trying to save you money. I've had multiple BBKs and really don't see the reason on a car unless I'm tracking the car often.

There is also AP, Stoptech and many other BBK's out there. Performance will be very similar from most of the available BBK's. Brembos will top the price list. Stoptech will carry the lowest price tag with the largest selection of brake pad compounds and easy pad replacement.

The larger rotors, larger pad surface of a BBK will improve your day to day braking while producing less heat. Are they the only way to improve braking? no. But they also look pretty good to boot. I think the Stoptech 355mm would still let you clear 18's |

I have Stoptech brakes. 355mm, 6-piston up front and 345mm, 4-piston rears. There is a ton of clearence with my 18" wheels. Some 17" wheels may fit. The caliper is super low profile compared to the Brembo caliper.
Brake pad change is super quick and easy. It takes me almost as long to just take the wheel off! Plenty of pad choices as well. I have 9 track days on the set-up and have been fantastic using Carbotech pads.

I'm not trying to say a BBK is bad, hell I've had several. Just trying to be realistic about using one on the street and trying to save the guy a few bucks. If looks are important to you (and there is nothing wrong with that), then by all means, buy one! Oh yeah, pad changes are a breeze with a BBK, so that is a huge plus!
