Someone used/have this Rear seat entertainment(6FG) on F10/F11?

And front seat entertainment on F10/F11?

Would someone tell me how this work?
How to se DVD? And media from hdd/memory card.?

Click CD button on idrive and look for DVD or External devices (might need to move the idrive knob back to the left or right after clickin CD to find it)... That is from the front. The rear might be a little more confusing and I can't remeber. Seems I get lost in the rear menu with the remote, etc, but haven't used much.

Wierd thing though, you can't look at the front DVD on the rear or visa versa which is kinda stupid. The message leads you to believe you need a DVD changer to do that, but I haven't tried through USB or rear inputs.

Also you can look up the entertainment system from the manual in idrive...

Also, you can't watch movies from the HDD or USB, although if you have a combox you should be able to upgrade to option 6NR in the future that will allow you to watch video from an iPod /iPhone. You will also need the media cradle to be able to do this. It's unclear though whether the video will also play to the rear entertainment.

Hmmm, that's bad, not watch movie from hdd/memorycard.

But perhaps later with IPhone/iPad? Ok, I but hdd/memorycard had been better.

What is 6NR? What can it do?

BTW, I have not any BMW at this moment. That is the reasen I ask these questions, before I buy a BMW. I would like to have right car with the right equipment :-)

I have the iPhone 4 cradle with cooling fan. Apparently I have te latest software and when I go to external devices I can select plugin which gives me the fancy looking iPod functionality or I can choose my phone which gives me a standard looking menu which allows me to choose audio or video in my iPod library in the iPhone. So yes I can watch videos. But only in the front!!!
When I choose the iPhone from the rear the video icon is not present. This sucks!!!
Any ideas
