335is Suspension

Just bought a 335is and drove it from Nor Cal to Vegas. I'm coming from a G37 S and I'm surprised how loose the suspension is on this car. At high speeds it feels like a Cadillac. I definitely like the comfortable ride when cruising but don't feel very confident maneuvering at high speeds. It's really easy to get up to 100mph in this car without realizing it. Thoughts on the suspension? Guess I should have got the M3. If only the fuel economy was better.

Agree stock ZSP is a poor match for the power of the N54 and N55 (especially an n54is).

Long story short, if you want to stay OEM and warranted, yet GREATLY improve the performance feel and composure of the car while preserving good ride quality, get the BMWPerformance suspension (shocks, weight-matched springs, front sway). The handling is flat and controlled, the car can be slid without feeling like a rolling boat, acceleration squat / brake dive are reduced, and you can (finally) properly attack back roads - even if they are bumpy-surfaced. In my experience, it is an excellent real world "serious" suspension that allows the handling and chuckability finally live up to the BMW reputation and better matches the considerable speed these cars are capable of. (I honestly feel this is what ZSP should feel like rather than the too-soft underdamped version US/Canadian cars get.)

Pricing is fair too especially from Tischer BMW (your dealer may price-match if they are to install it for you).

Other option is to get even more serious and install quality coilovers along with key M3 suspension bits (the M3 bits would sharpen the BMWPerformance suspension too).

Either way, don't settle for a car as fast and powerful as your 335is with stock soft suspension. It is easy to sort and cost is quite reasonable to do so whichever kit you go with.
