vmr v710 19x8.5 rims and 225/35/19 tires on e90?

I'm thinking of getting a used set of vmr v710s that are 19x8.5 rims and 225/35/19 tires.
The bolt pattern is 5x112. [what exactly is a bolt pattern? better do some research first...]

Would this setup work on my e90?
I think it will but does the 225 tire width look a bit too narrow??

forgot to mention that they were on a jetta before.....
I came across these on craigslist.

Those are a no go on your BMW, as said, you need 5x120 bolt pattern.
