I'm rubbing the poo out of my tires
So I just put on 18x8 & 18x8.5 wheels w/ 235/40 and 265/35 tires.
I was on 17x8 square w/ 225/40 tires before, using 12mm front and 20mm rear spacers. The rear tires were nearly flush, and the fronts poked out a bit. Now, the rears rub horribly with 20mm's and only on big bumps with 12mm's. They are not as flush as the old smaller setup even w/ 12mm's. Any suggestion on spacer size? E92 w/ stock suspension, no sport. 10mm seems too little of a difference and 5mm seems too much for a flusher look... I will not be rolling fenders. Perhaps next time I will downsize to a different tire, as the NT05 didn't offer stock 255 sizes. Here is what they look like w/ 20mm spacers. I don't have pics of the 12's... |

if you want flush with your tire size, then you have to roll your fenders. If not then go 255 tires, or use smaller spacers... Camber can help with rub issue as well.

Wheels are OEM 197's. Offsets, I don't remember... close to -37? My old set is on Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs, and these are Nitto NT05's. The super square shoulders of these tires don't help, lol. Performance > stance, but I want to get as far away as possible from sunken tires.

I just want to know the maximum spacer size I can use to avoid rubbing
It doesn't have to be flush! I just don't want to buy wrong spacers. |

Honestly, I have no idea how. On my square setup, I tried using all the prescribed methods but I ultimately couldn't get a number and ended up guessing. 20mm was a perfect guess for the rears!
Also, I feel like I need something between 5 and 10mm, which aren't made. Anyone know if you can safely stack spacers? |

You need a fender roll to fit those tires, Nittos run wide and the NT05 is a beast of a tire. Also a little bit of camber out back will help some too |

You can get 8-10mm spacers, since you only rub on big bumps with 12mm. FYI, you never stack spacers. G'luck.

Thanks everyone.
I've googled 8mm spacers and have only found some from Turner for a whopping 134, but it also says it's for the fronts. Any suggestions on where to find 8mm hubcentric spacers? |

hi Guys,
I getting ready to put on my summer tires. Here is my set-up F: 225/40/18 offset 34 (8X18) R:255/35/18 offset 37 (8.5X18) running on Bridgstonne Potenza with OEM 197s. Do you think if I install my 20mm i had on my old E90 i will get any rubbing? I would love to get a flush look??? If not, which spacer would get me the flush look? Thanks for your input,
