white or black rims for alpine white 335d
Thinking about getting either white or black rims for my 335d. Want as big of a lip as possible. Looking at either 18 or 19s. What is the best offset for flush but biggest lip?

et 30-35 is usually a standard and decent setup for the 3 series without and fender rolling.. As for the lip, depends on the rim you choose.. 3-4" lip is common on the rears

I just ordered M3 reps in gunmetal 18X8.5 and 18X9.5 ET34 for my AW E90.

Thanks for the input. The only thing is that i hate 2 tone rims. I have not seen any all gunmetal. Usually they have a polished lip. The other option I was playing around with was a set of Volk mag blue ce28s. I realize there is a small lip, but I loved them on my G.

white would look sick if your car is heavily modified but can't go wrong with black

IMO, Black is too much contrast on AW. Hyper-silver or Gun-metal are the best colours. Advan's dark gun colour is an especially nice one.
Offsets really depend if you want: A) Tyres that fit properly B) Tyres that rub only on big bumps C) Tyres that rub most of the time 335D -> Sedan right? |

A few people have used 10" ET38 or ET37 on the back of an E90 LCI sedan. It shouldn't rub too much unless you dropped. 265 tyres are probably the way to go. VMR supply ET38 10", and Linea corse have a few 10" wide wheels with ET37. Maybe try searching the forms for terms like LCI ET38 265, etc. Here's one I found.

I would say 19's prob will give you a larger lip then 18 for the simple reason there are more 19x10 options then 18x10. If money is not that big of an issue I would say do a set of custom 3 piece wheels and you can get them basically EXACTLY how you want them. Color and all.

What you can get is dependant on what your budget is. Any rim with a decent lip will probabaly be a 3 piece wheel which costs much more than the typical VMR, Miro, Avant Garde, etc.

Im looking at HREs, Volks or Works so custom offset it not going to be an issue. Have been looking at 19s with 9 front and 10 back. The offsets were my main concerns since Im a new owner and have not had much experience with these cars.

I have black wheels on my new car and it is alpine white. Not a big fan of them. They blend in with the tires too much and dont really show up or do anything visually(at least for me) Gpoing to sell them in a couple weeks when my new wheels are ready.

Getting a set of Morr wheels, signature silver. Wish i kept my Advan F7 wheels from my last car(silver), they were nice and would have looked good i think.
Have you looked at the RE30 formula silver with D/C lip? Had them on a TiAg but they would look good on white too!(pic)
