Whose car is in transit on the "Elektra?"
My car has finally, ordered on July 18th, made it to the port at Bremerhaven and has been loaded on the "Elektra." Anybody else on this ship??

Mine is on Elektra as well. I thought I'd seen something that the Elektra's departure date was moved from September 30th to the 28th. On the website, however, no indication that it has departed. The last activity' recorded for my VIN, is 'loaded on vessel' on 9/28. Anyone have better information?

Hey FDC,
Wondering how you know that...did your dealer tell you? If yours is coming in on the NYK line, that means its coming via the west coast according the ultimate ordering guide. I am hoping this isn't right and that they stop on teh east coast first, because travel time would be alot longer. According to the guide, cars for the eastern half of the country should come over on the W&W line. I'm in St. Louis, and my car is currently awaiting "deportation" according to BMW OC, so I am assuming we'll be traveling together. Do you have any specifics on the ship? When/where is it docking in the US, and when is your final delivery date at the dealer? Thanks.

Woohoo!! I am so excited - my car is on the Elektra (Voyage EA539-ELX) !!!
Loaded in Bremerhaven on the 28th, sailed out of Bremerhaven on the 29th to Gothenburg, Sweden where it was in port today. It should leave Sweden tomorrow (Oct 1) for Belgium, then a stop in Southampton, and then on to Halifax (where my car gets off!). According to the website it will take 7 days for the crossing from Southampton to Halifax is and due in on Oct. 11. You would think with all our technology it could do the crossing a bit faster... maybe they need to give the gerbals running the turbines some better food? Anyways, I don't know how long it takes to get from Halifax from Vancouver, but I am guessing that is probably another week at least. I can hardly wait !!!!!!

Anyway our cars will get offloaded in a week or so, and then the train transit to Montreal for me, the truck and the prep, brings me to the 31st. If it is anything like my 325 last year, it'll be a week early (fingers crossed!!!).

Ok fine I'll tell On the W&W tracking page (after you search for your VIN#, where it shows your car loaded 9/28/05, etc) - click on the "Voyage Number" (EA539-ELX) - it is a link to the ship's itinerary and tracking.

You da man!
BTW that diabolical laugh is the same one I use when electrocuting flies in my kitchen with an electrostatic tennis raquet...my 3 and 4 year old girls mimic me...it's quite funny!
