I have done a few debadgings its just instead of thin sticky stuff, its a solid block of it. Granted, in the past I did it while it was pretty hot outside and the stuff never had time to heat up

I had to use rubbing alcohol and a hair dryer to get mine all off. But it was in the 30s that weekend.

I'm just wondering why people debadge there cars. I see a lot of Benz and BMW like this on the road sometimes.

Some people think it looks cleaner or say it's easier to clean the car. I, personally, think it looks too plain...and I want to make sure everyone knows my car is an xDrive35i

There are some vehicles out there that have massive badges and I wouldn't hesitate to take them off but I just think BMW's badging is classic.

It's all personal preference.

I hate bling. Also, it's easier to keep clean without badges.

Definitely loving this mod. Photoshopped a space gray and I thought the side view the car improved. The badging seems to break up the lines of the car. Now if the #$%@@ dealer ever calls today so I get an order placed!

Anybody tried fishing line instead of floss?

Looks nice, but I really have to question the wisdom of blacking out the reflectors.

thats what I will be doing the rest with.

Thats how I see it too. The lines are cleaner w/o any badging but I figured we'd keep the X3 badge on the back to advertise for BMW.

Keep in mind, when the designed the car the badges werent on. Brings the car back to its original sexy intent

haha well painted reflectors is pretty large in the BMW crowd in the US.
I just wish BMW didnt put the reflector in the headlight (old style) compared to the ones the put into the wheel arch (new style).

I use 12 - 15 lb. test monofiliment. It is much stronger than dental floss.
