A couple quick Pics!
Ok I think I have changed the whole look of the car from what i was originally planning on doing.
I was doing the chrome replacement, (adding the 335's lower accent bar trim, window, grill, ect.). I wanted a classy look, but I guess I have changed my whole cars theme now. Oh well, lets just see where this takes me. Please ignore the nasty 156's, I WAS planning on changing them to morr 162's when the weather got nice again, but now I think a black or powder-coated wheel would look good too. I haven't done anything too drastic or anything that isn't easily changeable. But I like it! I think the grill looks really good! I was set on those morr 162's but now I have to think about it some more . Here are just a couple quick pics! |

Hmmm these look better than I expected on arctic . I know it was a tough choice, to be honest I couldn't picture it on such a light color either, before your pics.
The thing is now you're committed to finish the package. I do agree some black wheels and tints should tie everything together. You already have the smoked overlays going on. Great!

I'm thinking about a glossy black grille but since I've swapped out the finishing rods, it won't look 100% right Worst, I've sold off those pieces

Is it not a discussion on cosmetic mods?

Wow, first black grille I have seen on Arctic. I was thinking of doing the gloss black grille on my Arctic 335, your pictures may have convinced me. I don't know if the gloss black grille would look good with the silver lower finishing bars??? Thanks.

That was the same thing I was thinking too . I was going to put the 335 lower trim just cause it was brighter then the 330! But once I put on the smoked overlays, i thought a blackout grill might look good. I was only 50% on the idea of a blackout grill, (didn't mind buying it because I new I could sell it fast) but turns out I like it alot, so I am going to keep it! So to wrap it up, I do agree a black grill would look weird with a lower polish trim!!

looks really good, but not convinced how the vinyl covers are gonna look after spending day after day in the scorchering sun, and rain.
would like to see pics of your car in august and compare with these to see how the vinyl look. |

i think everything ties together really well...i don't particularly like the look of smoked vinyl overlays on other cars (even on black cars)...but on your car that really works!
i agree...something 19" in a dark...definately a matte black or powdercoat black would tie it together. i would stay away from anything bright or silver in your case. i don't think the 19" 162s would look as hot as a black or dark coloured wheel. i'd like to see a CF roundel...again....weird...I'm usually not a big fan of them ...but with the scheme you have currently i think they would look hot on your car. the blue and white roundel kinda sticks out and doesn't give as much "flow"...especially with the stark contrast with the black grills. if you can do tint 35% all around...go for that....if not legal then 50% all around. i don't think your car would look good with staggered tint...well no car does but i think in your car particularly so. keep up the good work dude! |

Thanks for all the compliments everyone!! I was also thinking about the CF or black roundels. but it feels kinda wrong changing the "classic" colors? Know what I mean? |

Yeah I know exactly what you mean, I have been going back and forth with this for about 2 months now. I think I am going to go with the blue and whits CF look that places like Biimmian and JL have. Just depends on what you think you are going for.

Here are my pics when I first got them. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...blacklines+big Anyway I think the stock lights look ok on arctic and you can live with them, but blacklines really make the car look alot more sporty, and wider in the back end. As for the overlays, hands down the best/cheapest way to get rid of the amber! I try to promote them to as many people as possible. I love them. (Hopefully hunter will remember all the promotion I am giving him in the future ) if you search hunters FS thread I think I posted a couple pics on like page 15, or 16. When I had the full chrome grill still, it looked a little off, so this thread is where I put on the blackout grill. Hope this helps you A34 ( ) bud! Thanks Hunter! EDIT: here is a more recent pic of the blacklines, better angle! |

looking good
I didn't think the dark overlay and blackout grille would look this good on a lighter color car!
