Anyone in NJ get a DMV "in-transit" temp plate?

I'm looking to buy a car out-of-state and need to drive it back to NJ. Has anyone gotten an "in-transit" temp plate from the DMV? I checked the DMV site but it didn't have any info.

NJ doesn't offer temp tags unless you buy the car in NJ - the state you are buying the car in would provide temp tags.

I bought a car in Virginia, you get 30 days temp plate/registration.
