e90 335i manual w/ PROcede 0-60 times.
...got a Vector FX-2 today and went out on a lonely road and did about 20 runs from 0-60. (in both directions)
Here are the 4 best times. about 75 degrees, 93 octane Shell, 3/4 tank of gas. All stock except for PROcede and CDV delete. Oh yea....Oil temp peaked about 10 runs in at 245 and stayed there. The best runs were from dumping the clutch ~2500-3000 rpm with DTC pushed once and illuminated. With DSC all the way off did not yeild as good of times. (.2 second slower because of wheel spin) I plan to find a place this weekend to do a few 1/4 runs. BTW picked up the FX-2 with overnight shipping for $108 http://www.chumbo.com/Info.aspx?id=286948

Very nice
By the way, you said you did 20 runs and both directions. Were all of the top times in the same direction? |

I wonder how accurate it is too, BUT I've been waiting for someone with a MT 335 w PROCEDE to step up to the plate and do some timed runs. The only other ones I've seen are AT's and they've been like 4.5's.
You rock man, thanks

The the first and second best times were in different directions. Both directions seemed to average about the same time.

Nice!
Be sure to post your quarter mile times and trap speeds (if the unit tracks that)

Yes. Car is stock except for the extra CPU power and CDV delete.

i think its supposed to engage the clutch slightly quicker, i believe BMW put it on the car for smoother shifting and longer clutch life. i may be wrong tho

What's the "CDV"? What's the "DSC"? I know we have the DTC in middle of dash for the traction, so is there other options too that we can turn off? Sorry for the stupid question but I just got my 335 like 2 weeks ago. Still with 300 miles on it.

CDV is the Clutch Delay Valve. Prevents the clutch for grabbing too quickly. Mainly causes stress on the clutch and not the drive line, but can result in less than desired clutch action and performance.

DSC is Dynamic Stability Control. hitting the DTC button basically creates a sport mode that allows for more antice before intervention. Holding the DTC button for 3 or 4 seconds will turn off all of the safety electronics save ABS.

LOL...I was "testing" my Procede earlier today since I just installed it this morning.
I am surprised that he gets that much traction with the stock tires. I was about 1/2 way across an intersection and floored it in first. The back tires broke loose. I was also rolling in second at about 20mph and it did the same thing when I floored it. I can't imagine that I would be able to launch from a stop at 2500RPMs. Although, I will try it and see what happens |
