303 Aerospace and Creaky Door Seals
I used 303 Aerospace for the first time about a week ago. Made my dash, leatherette seats look fantastic. However, I also put some 303 on the door seals and now I have loud "creaking" noises from the doors when driving (radio off), my assumption is that this noise is coming from the rubber door seals I treated as they slightly move against the metal car body. So, anyone experienced this? What is the best way to make the noise stop?

Had the EXACT same experience. 303 on the door seals....all of a sudden, creaking from all four doors over any and all bumps and grade changes.
After attempting numerous cleaning rituals/products which were unsuccessful, I went to the dealership and they applied something to the seals as well as the one seal with the felt portion that touches the actual body of the car. Some idiot at the dealership first replaced all of my window guides which was unnecessary. After returning 3 times and getting one of the foremen involved, they applied the correct stuff to the seals. They were silent once again for about a year. They just began their creaking again last week. Time to go back for another treatment. Good luck!

dealers used to apply some stuff called gummi pflege but they stopped, think i read somewhere that it can eat way at the rubber over time. That stuff did work tho.

303 can be nasty stuff - tried it in my leatherette seats and if anyone had a leather jacket on they would squeak with every move. Same with floor mats, it coated the bottom of shoes and made them dangerously slippery.
Try cleaning rubber door seals and door jamb with some very diluted joy dish soap, wash off and see if this resolves it. If not put some auto glym vinyl and rubber care on the rubber door seals. |

The dealership uses a product called Carboflo. I just had all my door seals treated a few weeks ago. One treatment lasts quite a long time.
Go to the dealership and ask them to slather some on your seals.

I think I'll try this 1Z stuff. Easier than trying to go back and fight with the service dept to get them to apply the stuff

I made this mistake when my car was new.
It took 4 months for the creaking to stop. Will never put crap on the seals again -- I'll just replace them if they go bad.. |

Shocked by this thread. I put 303 on all the seals of all my cars a couple of times a year and never, ever had a problem.
I think it is a great product especially at providing protection for items like seals. I don't get the issue you all are having. |

I also got this issue. I tried to order a tube of Carbaflo from the UK but they can't ship outside of their contry so I just ordered a tube of 1Z Einszett Rubber Care Stick Gummi Pflege.

Read a service bulletin on noisy doors where the dealer marks the door catch location, loosens them slightly, close the door, open and then retightens them.

1Z Einszett Rubber Care Stick has done the job. First time I tried with the sponge but the liquid doesn't flow easily and it didn't works. 3nd time I removed the sponge and did it with a lot more of product on a towel...it work as a charme and it's a lot faster!
