my rubber mats look dull and dirty

seems like even after pressure washing and scrubbing my rubber winter mats (which i keep in year round) with a brush and soap, they still kind of look dirty and a little faded. Im gonna try some degreaser next time but that wont really help the appearance. Do you guys dress the rubber mats as well, or just wash em and leave them as is?

im contemplating trying some 303 and then rubbing them down with a wet towel so that they wont be as slippery... not sure what to do.

I use an APC and scrub brush(Grime reaper diluted 5:1). They do show some wear though over time but it takes all the stains and grime off. I do not dress mine at all nor the pedals for obvious reasons.

I wouldn't dress them for safety reasons. But a good APC should clean them without leaving any dressing behind.

Garage List
I occasionally spray some 303 on it and let it dry. It does a good job at keeping them soft and black with no oily or slippery residue.

+1 I wipe any excess off really well. After a day it's not slippery at all.

Don't do the pedals though!

Don't 303 your mats, it will get on to your shoes and they will start squeaking on hard flooring and when that hard flooring is wet you may slip and fall.

If you have to use anything, lightly spray your wet wash cloth with auto glym rubber and vinyl when finishing the mats.

+ 1 on 303. Armor All also works and doesn't get the mats slippery like 303. However, the factory fresh look doesn't last as long.

Use a diluted APC. Spray, leave for a minute, brush and rinse.

I had mine for 3 years and that's what I do. Leaves the rubber perfectly clean.

use 1Z Blitz and clean them with a brush and water. After that apply 1Z Rubber care. leave it to dry for an hour or two and they should look new and not be slippery. 303 will make them slippery.
