F10/F11 with EDC and Hartge

We´ve got an order in for an alpine white 525 due to arrive at the end of July.

It´s got the M-sport suspension, but we´re thinking of adding EDC, as well as Hartge lowering and 21" rims.

Anyone have any experience with this combination? How does the car handle the road (not just the highways/freeways, but rutted back-country roads as well)?

Will the adjustment possibilities of the EDC still be noticeable with Hartge springs?

What about spare tires? What are the options commonly used here?

We have to make a decision on this within a few days, so we´re hoping for some quick responses.

Pictures?

Does anyone have any pictures of a Hartge lowered 5-series station wagon with 19" m-sport wheels/rims? Would be interesting to see how that combination looks.

If you had the F10, I'd get KW coilovers, but I can't find coilovers for the F11 on their website.

What kinda 21" are you planning on?

I´d stay away from the Hartge 21" - they are mega heavy. If You then also lower the car, You will ruin the chassi setup.

I did it on my M5 E60 and it was terrible on the road. The looks was super, but the handling and the comfort ....

I'd tread with caution when lowering a car with EDC at the moment. If you do get coilovers you will end up like me and be without the ability to change through chassis/engine settings and stuck in normal mode.

If you just lowering with springs, the EDC wil still work as far as I know.

And it doesn't seem that the KW coilovers fit the F11(wagon).

Check out http://www.hartge-tuning.com/

Hartge classic rims. Hartge lowering brings the car down about 3 cm.

I have a F11 that is lowered with Hartge suspension. EDC works fine.
A little stiffer, but still noticeable difference between sport, normal and comfort.
Ride is very smooth in comfort. See you live i Norway. If you live nearby Skien/Porsgrunn you are welcome to testdrive my car before you deside.

Any pics?

Here's a link to a F11 with Hartge suspension here in Norway.

Plenty of potholes! The trick is to avoid them
Had a set of M6 design wheels on my previous E61. Those where to soft. The Breytons are a bit more solid and seems to take the abouse a little better
