Some Procede +275 ps2 0-60 runs with g-tech at 4500 feet.

Just got my m6 reps with 275's put on my procede e90 yesterday. Did about 10 runs on the same road 0-60. Temp was 55. Elevation about 4500.

My two best runs were 4.529 and 4.54. My worst run was 4.84. These new tires hook up very good. I have less slip with procede and 275 ps2's then I did without procede and the stock runflats. My two best runs were in either direction on the same road. I have AT. This in on shell 91.

On my best two runs it said my 60' was 2.030 and 2.050. On the runs at 4.8 it was more like 2.150-2.2. I have no idea how some of you are breaking 2 seconds in the 60'.

I would go into manual mode an start out in M1. I brake torqued to about 2k and launched at WOT. I would then shift when I saw the tach hit about 5k in first gear which would result in shifting taking place at about 62-6400 RPM (Maybe my reaction time is slow but this seemed to work best). The times I let it shift itself at about 6800 rpm my best times were 4.8 so I think it's better in our cars to shift a bit before redline. I'm assuming this is because we have less boost up top and I'm also assuming at 4500 feet, I have even less boost up top then another proceded 335i would at sea level.

If anyone has some different ideas about how to launch more effectively let me know.

I have 110 octane Dirt bike race gas I was going to mix with my 91 and see if I notice a difference. Do you guys think this would be ok in my car?

In comparison, when my car was stock, on the same stretch of road, with a temp within 5 degrees, my best run was 4.87, but I was only able to break 5 this one time out of about 15 runs. Most of them stock were more like 5.1-5.2.

Don't use that 110 fuel if it has lead in it or the next thing you know you'll be replacing the O2 sensors.

Not bad at all!!! I think those 0-60mph times are very good, especially if you're running on 91 octane and at 4,500 above sea-level. As far as the 60 ft. times, I've been consistently getting 1.85-1.95 sec. 60 ft. times during my ~ 4.5 sec. 0-60mph and 13.02-13.1 sec. 1/4 mi. runs. I also have the 19" M6 Reps w/ Michelin PS2 tires (but I've got the 265/30/19's on the rear compared with your 275's).

It would be great if you can do a couple timed 1/4 mi. runs and then look at the 0-60mph and 60ft. times as well as the 1/4 mi. times (w/ trap speeds) on the 1/4 mi. runs.

I think what I'll have to do is go to the freeway tonight when it's calm to do 1.4 mile runs. I think the freeway is lower, more like 4000 ft as well.

How do you get such low 60? Are you MT? What rpm are you shifting at?

WHAT TO DO IF GET RID OF RFTs

Hey guys, for those of you who are getting rid of your RFTs, what are you doing in case of flat? Are you just gambling that you won't get one or are you now putting a space in the trunk?

Just curious because I am getting new wheels and tries soon

Forgive my ignorance, but when you say M6 reps, do you mean wheels meant to look like the M6 wheels, or did you actually order a set of the M6 wheels? Did you have to use spacers or was the offset the what you needed? Are the wheels rubbing? Did you have to make any adjustments are did you just throw them on? I know there are posts about that, but I figured since you did exactly what I am thinking about doing I would ask

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for any info!!!

M6 replicas. I got mine at **********s.com (sponsors of this site).

I do not have a spare. I did install the tire pressure warning system, but I would have to be towed in the event of a tire loss.

M6 rep, are replicas of the M6 wheels for e90/92 fitments. They fit without use of spacers. I believe you can get 19x9.5 +22 offset for rears and you might have a slight rubbing if you are lowered. Not too sure about the rubbing

I purchased the conticomfort tire repair kit and put it in my trunk.

I purchased my m6 reps from mod bargains.com for 900/including shipping.
They already have the correct offset, I have rubbing, but I'm not dropped, i do have sport package with 275's in the rear. You should ask these question in the wheel and tire forum. Let's keep this thread ON TOPIC please. Thanks.

no wonder your 60ft times are a bit slow, 2000 RPMs is too high. u might be ok with launching a stock 335 step at 2k, but with the procede im guessing its too much. maybe try 1400-1800 and see how that goes?

and btw, did u press the DTC button once or hold it down?

with DTC completely off, i got 2.0ish times with procede, RFT's and step. those produced about 13.1 times, but it was very warm out and i have no clue how to properly 'warm up' my tires before running, so take that for what its worth. this was at a track btw, so the times are accurate.

No, 6AT...same as you, and shifting same as you in M1-M5 for 1/4 mi. My shift points have been similar to yours, maybe a bit closer to redline for my best runs (not sure why though since the boost and power does drop off after 6k rpm). As CoralRedPlz said, I've been brake launching at ~ 1,500rpm...maybe you could try that to see if that makes a difference.
