It's HKS, so it's a quality product. If it works for your car, then $40 is worth it.

I think its the same shape & idea (OEM size) as the K&N just made of a sythetic foam sponge instead of the oiled cotton found in the K&N product.

The problem with the foam sponge products is if they dry out, over time they brake down and little sponge particles get sucked into the engine. You dont get this with OEM or K&N types.

Had it in the Evo. Honestly I couldn't feel the horsepower gain or anything. Made the car a tad bit louder though, hehe.

Being HKS I think it'll be a quality item free of flaws like the one you mentioned above.

Same HKS or Greddy (bright green) ones that were used on the 3000gt/stealth back in the days. You have to keep these oiled as well. Just cus its the name doesnt mean it wont have issues.

I'm not sure but according to the discription it says till 2006 BMW 3 series. Even if your 335 is a late 2006 model its still considered a 2007. Being a twinturbo engine, it might require a bigger filter than that of the naturally aspirated version (330i engine). Sorry this is all I can advise for now.

so, which one will be for the e90? or is this just for e46's

I had the hks racing suction intake (quite possibly the most expensive intake for the rx8) that used a honeycomb filter... and it was great! It brought the rotary engine to life and under WOT, it sounded like a fleet of angry wasps (sickkkk)

Try looking up the OEM part number in your Owners Manual.

Replaces OEM Part#s: 13721730946 & 13721744869

thanks for the heads up... i'm so boggled down with books that i'm pretty sure i forgot how to read in general.

Also, there's NO way in hell i'm opening up ANOTHER book lol. My macroeconomic theory textbook is already ravaging my sperm-count, as well as my manhood, dignity, and all the other essential pleasures associated in being a man.
