Glimour Foamaster setup

So I helped my dad wash his car for the first time in months (he's super lazy) with a foamaster II attached to a garden hose.

I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong because I have the dilution setting on A (1oz/gallon) with a capful of maxisuds shampoo in the barrel of the foam gun but I dont' get much suds. I know its no foam lance, but i can't get even coverage with the foam gun, the suds that come out looks so dilute.

Does anyone have recommendations? or can let me know what I'm going wrong?

Maxisuds is a great shampoo, and it's viscous (thick). You're not picking up the shampoo for dispersion because it's thick and there's too little of it in the jar.

Just add some warm water to the plastic jar with the shampoo and shake it. It should work fine.

Also, a cap full of shampoo is not enough, you should add at least 1oz and about 3 ounces of water.

Remember on Setting "A" the dispersion is 1oz. of shampoo per gallon. And the dispersion rate is controlled by the gun itself - which means you can fill the whole jar with shampoo, and the gun will still only disperse 1oz. per gallon. In this example, just use enough to cover the car with suds and save the rest for later washes. I can do my whole car easily with 1 ounce of shampoo.

I like to add 3 or 4 ounces ounces of Maxisuds, and about a half jar of water. This will last me 3 or 4 car washes.

I generally put it on setting E and use about 6oz of shampoo and another 6 - 10oz of water. Setting A uses the least amount of mix from the reservoir so you get the lowest output of shampoo. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Just last night I just started on my gallon of maxisuds that I bought from DI and that stuff is awesome. I've always used setting E and wish there could be a Z.
