I actually voted Burke Lake. I hadn't even thought of that before, but I've been there and it's a pretty cool area. Although it's a little far for our brothers in Maryland... so now if I could take my vote back and vote again, it would be for Great Falls (as long as it's early enough that we don't have a long wait to get in).

For those in Montgomery County, Great Falls Park in VA is very, very close. Just get off the Beltway at Georgetown Pike (193) and enjoy the drive for a few miles, then the park entrance is on the right. For those further out in MD or further south in VA, it may be a bit of a haul. Good big parking lots and excellent picnic space, though. I'm not sure if beer is allowed in the park (I think not).

I'll defer to what the group wants....if it's on the 20th, I don't think I'm able to make it...but we'll see. It is also quite a nightmare drive for us Loudoun folks to get into DC, or deal with Maryland...so we'll have to find a compromise of some kind.

Last year, we had an X5world meet at Cameron Run Park, just off of 495 and Wilson Bridge in VA. Although its kinda far for us MD folks, it wasn't that bad. There's a big parking lot that we used to take pics, a covered picnic area, bathrooms, playground, etc. Pretty good site for a meet and if anyone wants me to get info, let me know.
