Help with rear parking lights after upgrading from FRM1 to FRM2

All,

I am still having issue after replacing my FRM1 with an FRM2.

When I switch on the parking lights or low beam I am unable to get the rear outer tail lights to come on only the inner tail lights to come on. http://www.e90post.com/forums/images...es/mad0260.gif

I did source the FRM2 module secondhand and it could be for a E92. How can I check

Any help anyone ?

Attached is the FRM2.MAN file.

Try writing your NFRM module back to defaults.

Hi Grant,

How do I do that ?

Also, someone suggested I copy the VO (FA list) from the CAS and put thta into the new NFRM along with the FG number. Again I am noy sure how to do this.

Any further help would be great.... I am close to reverting back to my old FRM module.

Cheers,
Suresh

At last all issues with the upgrade have been resolved.

The trick was to program the VO list from the CAS module to the new FRM2 module. However this could only happen if I changed the production date on the FRM2(NFRM) module to be #0307 as the NCSExpert wouldn't find the NFRM in the menu list.

All done.

Hi,

I am thinking about upgrading my FRM1 to FRM2. How much did it cost? Was it difficult to install? At the end of the day is it worth it? What are the benefits of FRM2 (I want welcome light features)? Thanks in advanced!

Hi,

I got the FRM 2 module cheap from ebay for about £30 ($50), so I thought I will give it a try. I think it is worth it as the welcome lights are really useful ( especially now I have the front AE and the rear brake lights including the number plate light coming on with soft light up and light down.

Another benifit of the FRM2 module is that you can program the DRL to just be the AE which I think give great road presence.

Good luck.
