Would it look RICEY for a TiAG E92 with yellow fogs?
Ok this is my current setup
Angel eye - LUX H8 Xenon - Osram 4300k (stock) Corner Lights - GP Thunder 8500k Fog Lights - GP Thunder 8500k So my question is, my car is a TiAG E92 with a clean setup but I find that its pretty hard to match the LUX H8 in brightness/whiteness unless swapping to HID which I don't want to invest that much money on. So I ended up thinking of swapping out the white clean setup and put a little more contrast with pure white AEs and golden yellow fogs, how does that sound? And also, why do I see some cars have a yellow tint on their fog light housing? like this one below? Does it help with the overall effectiveness of the yellow? vs So in conclusion, if I am doing a yellow fog light setup, would I also have to tint my fog light housing or just swapping the bulb?

You could just get the yellow bulb. If you put a tint on it it will be slightly more yellow

if you do yellow fogs do not tint!!!! I personally do not like the tint. I say get a set of 3k HID fogs. That way when they are not on they do have that faded look to them. But then when you turn them on...they are a cleaner yellow

I wouldn't say rice....but it would look real JDM. If that is the look you are going for I say cool. Don't get me wrong one CERTAIN JDM cars is looks good. On some European cars it looks good. I just like the clean, simple, luxurious, look of the BMW, and thats why I would prefer not to personally tint MY fogs. But to each their own

Oh I see, I can see a AW or Jet Black car with white AE and yellow Fogs... but I am wondering if that setup would also fit in with the TiAG car.

Yellow and silver don't mix for my taste. Personally i think white or lightly tinted blue lights all around would be better suited for TiAg.

Depends on what you are trying to achieve: looks or functionality.
From the functionality point of view fog lights are supposed to be yellow in order to function well as fog lights specifically. Yellow fogs is not JDM look, as someone tried to claim here. Yellow fogs is immediately recognizable classic Euro look. One might call it "retro", but only an ignorant person would call it "rice". However, you don't have to make it so prominent by tinting the entire housing. It is a matter of taste, of course, but you can always opt for a yellow bulb while keeping the housing clear. I'd suggest you go that way, unless you somehow like the yellow housing look. |
