Strange Lights?
I recently got my car lowered on kw coilovers a couple of weeks ago, as well as had all 4 wheels balanced. I am running 12.5mm spacers in the rear, and none in the front. Everything has been fine until yesterday.
While cruising along yesterday, all of a sudden the "BRAKE" and little dsc light illuminated in the dash both in yellow. A little exclamation mark in a circle surrounded by parantheses came on the display and goes away after 10 seconds, but the other 2 lights stay on. Now, I know if the "brake" lights up in red, it means you need to replace brake fluid. It's yellow though. The manual says "drive off assistant has failed. the car will not be held in place after the brake is released." What is this? It then went away after I turned the car off for a while and then started it back up. Then it came back on this morning after starting the car up and moving a couple of blocks down the road. At a stoplight, I turned the car off, and restarted it back up again. The lights went away, and I havent seen them all afternoon (i've been driving the car all day, almost 100 miles). Anybody ever had this scenario happen with these specific lights?

Heres a pic of what the lights look like. Got this from another thread here:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ow+brake+light I did the "cranking the steering wheel left and right all the way" thing and it has not solved my problem...

check your sensor number 7 on the picture below as the wire might be unplugged to allow suspension work as it attach to the wheel carrier.
when you remove your wheel you can see a small rectangular box on the Cover, wheel housing open that small box and reattach it again if unplugged hope this solve your problem because that sensor feeds the data that allow the correct work of your DTC and that symptoms should disappear when turn off and on and should reappear when you press hard on your brake Last edited by ghost_rider; 07-30-2011 at 07:28 PM.. |

It keeps coming on and then I restart the car and dont see it for the rest of my drive. Then the next time I drive the car, the lights pop up again. Frustrating lol. I dont want to take my mods off to go to the dealership, but I guess I will have to.
