Buying 335i e92 from Jaguar Dealer

I am buying a 335i tomorrow from a local Jaguar dealer pending successful test drive. The car is a CPO'd lease return as stated on the Carfax. Is there anything I should knwo or be aware of tomorrow when I go? The Jag dealer replaced one of the adaptive xenons and took it to another BMW dealer to exchange the battery.

Thanks guys, I doubt I will sleep tonight.

you really want an opinion?

well, here ya go:

if we were playing Jeopardy! and this answer came into a blue box:

"Jaguar & BMW 335i"

a nerd would answer, "what are pricey unreliable modes of transportation"

i dunno, the fact that you are buying a vehicle well-known for it's persistent engine trouble from a jaguar dealership of all places seems like double-trouble.

all kidding aside, the warranty will cover you. it's not that bad. just assume that you will be visiting the BMW Service Dept. early & often. there's a reason someone terminated their lease at another mfgr's dealership.

what kind of deal are you looking at, just bought an 08 lease turn in in April, so I'm assuming your looking at a similar year, might be able to offer some insight into pricing.. .email me, Jace_91 @knights.ucf.edu (no *******

I'm sure you already know the basics, but here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. No salvage title
2. "Recalls" completed for HPFP, fuel injectors, spark plugs. If not, bring it into BMW service dept. soon.
3. Frequency of past maintenance, repairs, etc.
4. Tread on tires vs. miles on car?
5. Just go with your gut.

The Jaguar dealership picked it up at auction after a NJ dealership CPO'd it after the lease return.

I am very familiar with the car overall. I have been looking for one/researching for a year. Carfax is clean serviced often and new tires..

thanks all for your input.

A car is generally auctioned if a dealer doesn't want to keep it. The BMW dealer that CPO'd it obviously didn't want to keep it on their lot.

Congratulations on your new purchase! I'm sure you will love the car! Great color combination. Post pictures right away. My 08 had a headlight replaced as well. The only other thing I had issues with was the HPFP, which we all know about. Enjoy your new car!

Yea, the headlight they replaced points down to about 3 feet in front of the car. I need to figure out how to point the beam higher.

I'll post pictures and an introduction thread sometime this week.
