Anybody running 18x8.5 ET20 in FRONT?

I'm thinking of picking up a set of 18's for winter and found a set of 18x8.5 ET20 (square setup). Has anybody run ET20 in the front with 18x8.5 successfully without rubbing? From my research it seems the rear should fit no problem with 225/40/18 tires....but i cannot find anyone running this up front. Any help would be appreciated.

These sound like rear wheel dimensions. Doesn't seem right, but then again if you add spacers in the front seems to even out. BUT handling may be awkward considering the width of the fronts. AND more costly fro tires, etc.

8.5 +17 on 235 works on the front @ -.65 on e90.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=948

On a e92, I would becareful on ride height and would step down to a 225 due to the plastic front fender while running on stock camber with no stretch.

i dont know the difference from e92 to the e90 as far as offset goes, but on my 06 sedan i had 18x8.5 et18 225 in front and 9.5 et20 255 out back lowered with sportlines and had no problems of any sort. i think you will be fine with a 235 setup, and may find that a small spacer in the rear will be in order.

For the front, I'm running 235/40/18 x 8.5, wheel offset is 35. I've added 15mm spacers. So the current offset now is 20 & I LOVE it.

No rubbing whatsoever.

Thanks man.

to OP, I think you will want to stretch the tires a tiny bit like my setup to prevent rubbing issue.

However, If i had do to all over again, I'd probably run 255/35/18 with ET 25 or 23.

I have 9.5" et19 225/40/18 front with zero rubbing. 8.5" et20 shouldn't be too difficult..

8.5 +20 is virtually the same as our 9.5 +33 we do up front for aggressive setups. You'll want to run a 225 to prevent any kind of rubbing issues though.

If you wanted to run 235s on 18x8.5 for an e92, what's the lowest possible offset without the use of camber plates? 25?

I'm running 18/8.5/ET23 with 235 mm tyres front on a lowered car. It hasn't rubbed so far...ET should probably be 5 mm less to be safe since the car is low. Rear is 18/8.5/ET20 with 255 mm tyres, looks good and no risk for rubbing.

The lowest I would probably go would be between a +30-25. This will all depend on the specific tire manufacturer you go with and the sidewall/width characteristics.

HELP

Thread bump. On a pre lci (06 e90 ZSP suspension), what spacers should I run to get a nice flush. I've have 18 x 8.5 front 35 and 18 x 9.5 40 on their way. I was thinking about a 15mm up front with 20mm in the back for et20 all around. (tires would be Hankook Ventus V12s 225 40 18 and 255 35 18. No Fender rolling! Too agressive or no?

I've read that pre-LCI's can run a more agressive stance.

15mm spacers can work up front and you may be able to pull off that 20mm in rear since you are running a 255.
