tpms erratic

my tpms light comes on and goes off at least twice a day telling me that the system is not functioning properly. any chance the dealer will not cover a fix under warranty because I have aftermarket rims on now? (have 11k miles)

Depends on the problem but it may actually be that your wheels are causing the sensors tohave transmit problems.

Did the problem start with the new wheels?

had the new wheels on for a prolly 5,000 miles before the intermittent sensor problem started.

Dealer may or may not cover depending on the SA.
Also, you might have a failed TPMS in one of the wheels.
