Wheel offset and camber
Ok so I have a 2009 335i x-drive on H&R street performance coils. It is lowered quite a bit but is obviously adjustable. I'm looking to get a set of 3-piece BLQ super concave wheels but i don't know what the best fitment will be.
Can someone give me some advice on the offset and camber needed to tuck the back? I want to have 9.5 all the way around but i don't think i can fit 9.5 in the front with my coils height. I'm looking to buy these wheels at the end of this winter so i have some time but i want to figure out exactly what i want now. I posted a pic of my car to show how low i sit right now. The stock wheels are 17 x 8. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, |

9.5's can work up with with a +35 or lower. For a 9.5" rear, you'll want to go with +36-40 for a flush fitment on a 265 tire.

Ok that helps. I will get smaller tires, i was thinking a 225 and stretch them with some camber to tuck the back.

Rotiform 3-piece BLQs for real? Please do not get 9.5/9.5 with conservative offsets if you are dropping $4500 on wheels. You'll want 9.5" and 10.5-11" rear with low offsets for high concavity.
Are you kidding me? 9.5" et36-40 is FAR from flush. |

I just gave advice.. you really want to spend $4500 on 9.5 front and back? Do 19x9.5" et25 and 19x11" et32 with 225/35 front and 265/30 rear respectively. Approx camber: -1.1 front and -2.5 rear

Interesting note though, Mercedes 4Matic has rear biased ratio (40F/60R), with up to 100 percent to the rears when accelerating hard, but still use same size tire, but with diff tire pressures front and back (29F/35R on my wife's E350/4Matic on 8.5x18 wheels with 245/40/18 tires). BMW AWD has the same rear bias ratio as Mercedes, so maybe that is why staggered setup is OK, but eliminates the ability to rotate tires all around.

That's pretty interesting. I am not worried about the rotation of the tires, my main concern would be the drive train. I am confident now tho that this concern was not realistic and am very happy to know i can have a fat 11inch tire in the rear

Just make sure that the overall wheel/tire diameter is within 1% between the fronts and rears. If not this could cause issues with the xi system.
