My yokohama S drive 19\" summer tires- max PSI inquiry

They tell me 50 PSI max on the sidewall. They are now around 41PSI and look a bit flat, but maybe it\'s just me. Should I, or are there any advantages / disadvantages to filling them to 50?

When they get hot they will be over-inflated.

Perhaps your measuring tool for PSI is incorrect?

Tires should be inflated to 80% of Max PSI (good rule of thumb).

I definitely would not recommend filling them to 50PSI. At that point, you would be over-inflating the tire. A good medium would be around 35-38 PSI. 41 PSI should definitely not look flat.

If you are on 19" wheels, it may appear as if the sidewall is flat but they is because there is less sidewall then you are used to.

Thanks fellas. Yea that's what I thought. I also hear when the tires get hot, especially on hot days and long distance interstate driving, for every 10 degrees the tire temp climbs, one PSI is tacked on. So I guess I'm good!
