I'm thinking of taking my front plate off..but I won't risk it if it means getting ticketed. And no..I'm not doing the tow hook plate alternative.

And don't forget the traffic cops will ticket you on the street when parked.

no front plate=pulled over all the time.
just got pulled over yesterday for no front plate on off ramp on lakeville road on northern state parkway. pulled over on monday for no front plate/tints on palisades pkwy by nys trooper. if youre driving with no front plate, youre asking for it and if you have no means of getting out of it, it's gonna cost u $$$. Also, when you park you need to put a front plate because of ticketing while parked. |

I never had a front plate n always had illegal dark tints n exhaust n never got pulled over bc of that or tix for it. I always lower all windows when I get pulled over hands on the wheel and at times turn car off n keys on dash. Always respectful to the cop.

i took mine off about two months ago and got pulled over once in huntington, and no front plate ticket. I would def recommend it, don't just drive dirty and its only a money ticket no points

Drove with mine off for about a year. Then I got pulled over for doing 90 on a 65. The cop was cool about it. He let me go with a front plate ticket. I believe it costs about $125 in NY

I might do this one. If a cop pulls me over for no front plate..just use the remote without the cop seeing. And voila, there's the plate. The cop can't say shit! Exhaust or DP -> powder coat rims black with red outline -> retractable front plate/painted reflectors -> ??? That's the mod plan thus far. |

I had no front plate for over 2 years. Not 1 ticket. Then again, I only drive on weekends (Friday to Sunday)

dude.. the plates clearly are on some kind of retractable mechanism. the cops know what they saw, and will scrutinize it closer when you try to bullshit them. you're better off just saying you forgot to put the plate back out after a photoshoot or something.
