Anyone trimmed their fender liners?

Hey there,

I'm experimenting with a few rear spacer sizes on my E90 2008 335i, with the following set up:

• Eurosport Monza wheels
• 19x8.5 ET35 — 235/35-19
• 19x9.5 ET33 — 265/30-19
• General Exclaim UHP tires
• Dropped on KW V1's

At this point, the 12.5 ECS spacers are rubbing on just the liners (the fenders have been rolled so no rubbing issues there). And, this is with just the driver seat occupied.

Has anyone trimmed down the liners at all? I know that they are there for a reason, so I'm hesitant to mess with them. That said, if they can be trimmed back just enough to provide clearance, I'm willing to do it. OR...I may just go with 10mm...

Any input/insight is welcomed!

1 option is to let it rub til theres no liner left to be rubbed off
2 trim the carpet accordingly

I trimmed mine few months ago.

I had the guys at IND trim/sand the rolled part of the inner fender to get more space in there. Seems to work now I only rub under extreme circumstances. The liner has just worn itself away

Yea just let liner shave itself on the tire. Won't harm the tire at all.
