Drivers seat fooked?

My seat won't pull forward! I mean the back part won't move to let passengers in the back. What's the mechanism like-hopefully it's just a spring fallen off a hook or something easy to fix?
Any ideas?

It's a Bowden cable which could have broken or become detached from the base pivot-hook. Pain in the arse to fix (fiddly) but parts are cheap or free if just unattached.

In fact I've got BMW extended warranty so I wonder if it'll be covered. Save me messing about.

Well 4 months later and I've just had a go at this-everything in place and as normal so the cables must have stretched. Just been on to BMW and the part is £57+vat. Apparantly they don't just sell the cables and it comes as a kit which includes the pull handle and plastic surround-would make sense as swopping all this over would be a total nightmare.
All in all not too bad a job to remove trim and get at the cables so definately a DIY job. Similar to 'cleaning washer jets filter' - easy when you know how!!
