2005 X3 rims on 2011 328ix

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has mounted X3 rims on a e90 vehicle. I currently have a 2005 x3 which will be going back to the dealer however i have a set of winter rims and tires that i was hoping might be able to fit on my new 2011 328ix. Would be great if the rims and tires would fit but i don't think the tires will fit as they are 225/55/17 but i was wondering if by chance the x3 rims would fit?

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The X3 tires are too big, because of the 55 profile.
And the offset of the wheels are probably ET46, so you'll need spacers for a normal e9x fitment.
