when I put the one they did send me in the other one blew!!!

never known anything like it bulb wise & more often than not its the drivers side

You need to clean up the connectors and terminations.

I had a faulty bulb holder in mine that was changed through warranty so maybe that could be the problem. The dealer said they check all the e92's now as it is a common problem.

Same as some others. BMW replaced both my rear light bulb holder units under warranty, common fault is they corrode and cause issues. No issues since

makes you wonder how they could corode as there's no water or salt from winter roads getting in there.

would have thought that the corrosion can throw a fault code thinking the bulb has blown but not actually blow the bulb repeatedly like mine has.

the corrosion must be in the very small part where the bulb goes that you cant really see as I cant see any anywhere else.

you would think that after all these years a problem like this should never occur on the scale it does & the bulbs themselves are of a piss poor design IMO. I'm sure I coud design a better one that these capless things that have minimal contact area.

Some did seem OK, some were definitely blown. I though for less than a quid a bulb, I'll replace the lot with new.

Mine was in for a service, I knew the bulb had gone but hadn't got around to changing it, anyway the stealer kindly offered to change mine for £18!! I should name and shame!
£300 odd for a service and they want even more for a £1 job!
