Fitment for wheels on xdrive

Trying to figure out fitment before i buy, but i dont know anything about offset, the car will also be lowered on either kw or h&r coils in a few months to.

2009 335i xdrive

Size: 18x9
Offset: 35mm
Backspacing: 6.49"
Bolt Pattern: 5-120
Rec. Tire Size: 255/35-18

The site offers fronts in a smaller width and different offset, but i want to keep it a square setup, would the 35mm offset be alright on all four corners...?

also:

Size: 18x8.5
Offset: 38mm
Backspacing: 6.18"
Bolt Pattern: 5-120
Rec. Tire Size: 225/45-18

9.0 +35 front with a 255 can be pulled off but is a pretty beefy front tire setup. Since you are deciding to lower the vehicle, this may cause an issue up front.

I would recommend a 8.5 +38 all around with a 225 or a 235/40 all around. You can always adjust accordingly with spacers if you are looking for a more flush fitment.

So then i guess the question is can i do the 18x9 +35 with a different tire that would work? I dont necessarily want that, that was just what tirerack suggested.....

I am looking for performance and handling setup, but all i really do is autox.

I never knew Tirerack.com recommends anything wider then a 8.5" wide wheel up front. That sounds strange... You may want to double check that again.

If you were looking to stay with the 9.0 +35 front, I would recommend a 235 tire to be safe. But since you do a lot of auto crossing, sticking with the beefier 255 would be a more optimal choice for performance. Some slight camber adjustments might need to be made up front though.

Well that was the tire they recommended when i chose the 9 inch wide wheel upfront......they have the same wheel 8 inches wide but its not marked down in price, so i was gonna try and go with the 9 inch wide version.

Basically im trying to 18x9 +35mm and i need a tire size that will work fitment wise, especially when the car is lowered on coilovers........i do autocross the car so i would like something that will be good on the street and for autox if its possible. The 18x9 wheel is also the best price so id really like to get something to make that wheel work.
