19" wheels

hello everyone,
just bought 2008 335xi coupe and cant wait to buy new rims.
heres my question, thinking about replacing my 17" to 19" and how much would this close the gap between the wheels and fenders? right now i have huge gap and does not look too good. im trying to avoid buying new suspension just to lower the car. need your help!!!!

Not much on the Xi, you will need to either use coilovers or springs/shocks to lessen the 4x4 gap

^ +1. You will need to get suspension to close the gap on an XI. I don't know if you have a certain set of wheels picked out yet, but I would highly recommend the Avant Garde M359's! They are sexxxy looking wheels IMO.

With an XI go for a simple spring drop, Eibach or H&R sports. Nothing major.

P.S. I roll on the Avant Garde M368's and love them, cant go wrong with AG to be honest

i have 19s on my e92 328xi and no drop. loks fine to be and the gap is not that large at all. idk why so many guys want to drop their XIs. isnt part of the reason for buying an AWD BMW is so you can drive in the snow up here in the north? If i did not have to worry about snow i would have never gotten the XI.

nice ride but ya those 17 only need to be on the car in the winter. besides all seasons work great in winter with the xi. i went through 2 feet of snow last winter no problem

I have an e92 335xi with 18x8.5 front and 19x10 rears with the same tire sizes you're planning. Stock suspension. It sits a little higher than the sport suspension for sure, especially in the front, but it doesn't bother me enough to justify the cost to lower it an inch or so. Besides, I do need the clearance at times for Colorado winters. Here's a pic of the car....

Wheel gap between 18's and 19's are fairly the same, though with 19's it may be more apparent that the gap is larger by the eye. To close the gap, lowering springs or coilovers will be needed.
