Will I run into any tint issues? F10 535i

Hey guys. Just traded my 335i E90 for a new 535i. When I got my windows tinted on the E90, the insides of the window tint were starting to scratch leaving straight lines running up and down. For those that have tinted windows on the F10, have you guys run into any issues like this? I want to make sure this won't happen if i decide to get my windows tinted. Thanks

No issues. it's either the film, installation or the cleaning procedure that scratched your previous tint, I don't think it's car dependent. The F10 has a slight tint on the windows already, so going 35% is already pretty dark.

From what I was told by another forum member and another tint shop there was something within the door panels of the E90 that causes the tint to get scratched within. I might as well go ahead and find a new tint shop.

Any recommendations of a good tint shop located in the south bay/ los anegeles area?? thanks!

Sounds odd, maybe they know something that I don't. Anyway, I haven't had any issues with the tint. I used a place in Van Nuys which is a bit of a hike for you. There are plenty of places in the southbay. Figure out the tint you want then check the websites for authorized installers. Then check them with yelp and call for pricing and warranty information.

E90s are notorious for that. They have two "wipes" that keep crud out of the door. The lower one is a less flexible rubber that will trap grit and scratch tint. The correct way to install tint on an E90 is to either remove that sweep or cover it with moleskin. Kits are sold just for that purpose.
