Will replacing interior lights with LED void the warranty?

I am just wondering, it may sound dumb but BMW or any make for that matter can void the warranty just so they don't spend money.

The reason I am asking is that lately my battery has been draining while the car is not on or even parked and its not even charging the battery anymore when driving.

So I was washing my car today @ a car wash bay and after I was done, the car didn't start anymore. This happened 2 weeks ago after I detailed my car. So I am wondering if there is a short somewhere. Any ways today I had to call CAA (Canadian version of AAA). To give me a boost and those portable jumpers didn't even work so he needed to use 2 of them!! One in front and one at the back. He also did some testing and shows my battery is bad and one of the cells is gone so it will not hold charge.

So I am taking my car to BMW on Wednesday to get it checked and I am trying to put all the halogen lights back. I just don't want to give BMW any reason to blame it on my LED lights and possibly void my warranty, I know they frown on electrical mods.

I think i've heard of someone else having the same problem on one of the threads a while back... but it concluded that the battery was just giving out and had nothing to do with the LED interior. Now, if you're receiving some kind of light error code now and then, it may be the brand of LED interior lights that may be causing a drain on the battery...

don't quote me 100% but that's just what i read
