Did you code your car for adaptive?
You need to add $5xx (forget the exact value) to your VO then code your car. |

Are you sure the SMC II (AHL) module is code for the correct side? This module controls the adaptive lighting. It needs to be programmed and coded.
Not sure how to do either. I blew mine out on my drivers side and got a used one from a member on here. It was a direct swap because his was also the drivers side. Bit searching here and BMW coding . Com, I wasn't able to find info on programming or coding. Though it was brought up a few times. EDIT: BTW, my dealer here in NJ quoted me $290 to program and code a new SMC II module. I think if it's already programmed, you can just code it for left or right side. (Not sure if that's what coding does). Last edited by fdriller9; 10-20-2011 at 08:13 AM.. |

you can try to manually turn the xenon housing. basically there are 2 motors in the headlight that adjust up/down and left/right. the left/right motor is probably not aligned correctly. if you open the back cover of the headlight you can see if you can manually move the whole xenon bracket
