335i and M3 Replica Bumper

What did you guys do with your oil cooler duct? I had to completely remove mine in order to fit in the fog light. I'm contemplating to do a "custom" duct that will take the whole side grill and direct it towards the oil cooler.

What did you guys end up doing?

I had all the ducts removed. Looking at the design of the foglight mesh area, there will still be airflow going to the oil cooler so I feel there should be no dramas here.

I cut the fogs out. I left the oil cooler duct in and removed the opposite side. With my custom intake, I have a large cone filter sitting in that spot now.

I cut both of the ducts just enough so they cleared the fogs. This way they're not totally useless. For the fogs, just a H11 to 9006 harness from eBay.

Female to male ? iv searched and found the link that others have used. I ordered the harness and it's completely opposite of what I need.

They are advertising it as what plugs into what I guess. I am talking about the adapter itself. One side of the adapter should have male H11 plugs. The other side should be female where the male plugs of your 9006 bulb will plug in.

Will the oil cooler work properly with the duct removed?

I cut the lower part of the oil cooler duct so it clears the fog light housing. I then build a deflector piece right next to the fog light opening to re-direct the air upward to the duct. It works out good, my oil temp. stays around 230-240 after several WOT pulls.
