Need opinion on what I should do this winter on my 335i M-Sport?

I have a 2009 M-Sport with 18" 193 M-wheels, here's my situation I'm wondering for winter time here in Ohio.

Since it's a lease and it's getting returned May of 2012, which is 7 months from now, should I:

a. get a cheap wheel and winter tire combo (225/45/17), also do I need a new set of TPMS or can I make due without it? my OEM tires and wheels are run flats obviously.

or

b. just get the 18" winter tires only and have the shop switch them out on my OEM wheels, therefore saving money on wheels and TPMS.

I'm not sure which is a better choice since I will not own the car for very much longer either.

Thanks.

Ask your dealer if they will pricematch Tirerack on a set of winter tires. That way, they can't ding you on lease return if they nick the wheels while swapping the tires.

switchem out with winters....a second set of rims only makes sense over the long term.

goto a local dealer and spend 700 for winters swapped and another 75 to reswap to turn in. Unless you find a steal for a ready-set of 17's its not worth it on a lease.

Or the alternate, there are always fellow enthusiasts who have sold their cars and therefore are getting rid of their winter setups. For sale forums, craigslist, ebay to name a few places... But you better look fast because winter is fast approaching. If you don't care to use TPMS and really want to get rid of warnings, there are vendors who sell TPMS emulators.
