Rarest wheels

Well, I just bought new wheels (new to me, I got them off of FS section) and tires and the day I plan to have the wheels put on...I get rear ended. A girl behind me was doing her make-up and bumped into me. Nothing serious but now all I can think about are my wheels and how long I wanted them before pulling the trigger just to have them sitting in my condo waiting on my car to be repaired. Anyway, I was wondering, in your opinion, what are the rarest or most exclusive wheels you can think of? I know there are those wheels that are unanimously liked as well as wheels that are more of an acquired taste. I am wondering, looks aside, which wheels are hard to obtain within a reasonable price and/or effort?

I don't think any wheels really require much effort to obtain...

Money talks.

Some wheels do require effort to find at a certain price/condition. That is what I am trying to go for here. What do people think are those wheels they just can't justify the price for or aren't offered anymore? Yes, you are right, money does talk and pretty much anything is obtainable if the price is right. You can probably go on bimmerpost and ask a ridiculous price for a certain wheel and everyone with that wheel would most likely try to sell it to you. But I am asking which ones are hard to find within a reasonable price and availability. Not necessarily supply and demand issue but which ones would be hard to come by if you wanted to buy them.

Style 5's are classic good call

IMO style 230's are the most rare OEM wheels I have seen. I have them, but have only personally seen them on a couple of other cars in person. I just dont see them much, and I like it that way

I like the old Maya RT5's. Don't see them vary often anymore, but there is an e46 M3 in the chicago area rocking them.

haha photoshop request for 18" teddy bears on a pre lci e90! jk

I see 230's around every now and then. I would have to say there are more obscure wheels that might be a little more uncommon. They are, however, very sexy haha.

Shockin, you are right. Never seen those and they are absolutely sick on your car.

I guess it depends on location. Here in CO Im the only one Ive ever seen rockin them. Ive seen 1 other car in Vegas at Mfest with them, and other then that, Munich and Dublin Ireland, maybe ONCE or twice when I was in Cali on a road trip, but pretty rare IMO for OEM.

But yes, SEXY beasts, I love them...and the blades wax nice and easy to keep them clean easily too! Keepin em clean makes em even more sexier!

e90post simply does not "get it" when it comes to wheels.

Very few people put any effort into rocking cool kicks. 99% of people here just click and enter their CC#. You never see anyone piecing together and building a set of wheels.
I'd say some wide OZ Futuras would be dope to see on an E9x.
I'm the only E9x on CCW LM5s to my knowledge.
