Rial Salerno
Hi All,
I am wanting to get some Rial Salerno wheels for my e90 335xi (w/ msport) that I will use in winter. I know that people say that -1 tire size is better. But do you think it would be good to go with 18s and the new lm60 rfts or go with the 17s and the old lm25 rfts. I want to make sure I get something that is around in 2-3 years so I can get more if I need um... 18s 17s Thoughts? Justin |

17 + Rial Salerno + LM25
Just placed my order. 17" superior to 18" in snow, cheaper and LM25 appears to be the best of the limited 17" RFT options on Tire Rack.
That said, I live near NYC; you may be better off with lower speed rated tire with superior grip in snow/ice.

Had my setup for 5 years now, since I bought them at Tire Rack with TPMS in 2006...non-RFTs...on Sport Editions. Still going strong

I have them in 18". I already had 18" snows that I had on my Enkei RPF1 that I converted to track wheels with R-comps. I originally went with 18" to clear my Stoptechs.
Never any issues when I was running 18" snow with bumps or potholes. I'm running a 40 series winter tire anyway.

Hi all,
I recently bought a set of Rial Salernos and Cooper Weathermaster ST/2's off a forum member. However, he said that he had just used OEM BMW lugs with the wheel. I understand that Tirerack supposedly ships a set of lugs with the purchase that are 2mm longer than the OEM BMW lugs. Will using the OEM BMW lugs be okay? Or should I go a head and buy the Rial lugs? Hope someone can answer this, thanks! |

Only the length is different.
When I got spacers for my rears I had to factor in an additional 5mm with the bolts for the Salernos. But, so far the wheels have been great, they look good, and appear strong. I also like the fact they are made in Germany and not somewhere in SE Asia where QC is a wet dream. |
