New member here HID conversion kit question

I just ordered a HID conversion kit from tunerdepot.com for my 2008 328xi and after spending hours trying to install it, one of the lights was flickering and I concluded that I would uninstall it all because the housing weather gaskets that protect the light bulb wouldnt be able to be be put back on after installing this kit. The lights were cool but this kit sucked. Do you guys recommend any bulbs I can just buy without the kit. Something quick and easy that will give my car brighter better lights. I dont have xenon just normal lights. I bought aftermarket sylvania bulbs but they arent bright enough and suck.
