E9x Interior Facelift (CWW Photoshop)

Looks cleaner and more elegant for mid-life update IMHO! I wish BMW would consider this update for M3 as well.

Interesting.

You know the whole reason the nav screen is so high, is because it keeps driver's eyes higher up, and reduces the amount of time it takes for them to look at the screen and then back on the road.

Your are correct, there are zones the screens have to be in to be legal, if I recall correctly it is 30 degrees sight angle is the max. This why the screen is where it is. Luckly it isnt a touch screen... then the screen would also have to be alot closer to the driver which would stand up the center instrument panel even more.

It's pshop.

I wasn't impressed with current E9x interior initially, but after several forum members discussed about the reason for having the Nav screen higher for safety reason, the current design seemed to be more functional.

BMW could instead keep the Nav screen higher while keeping a clean line as it did with new E70 X5.

Anybody see the article about how NAV systems ruin resale value? I cant remember what magazine it was in but the point was that most factory NAV systems become out dated in only a matter of years and that can deter potential buyers. The article went on to recommend portable units that are easily upgradable and can be removed easily because most drivers dont need NAV to get to work..

Great PShop skills, but not a functional improvement over the current nav screen. I give it a
