BMW performance edition shifter knob installed

Just installed shifter knob-- install was easy, it looks and feels much better. Height of the shifter is about an inch or so shorter. It is weighted and felt slightly heavier than the stock knob (subjective).
This is part of my campaign to decrease the M badges in the vehicle.

like most mods, looks garish. If you like it though, that's all that matters.

Garish? lol, mildly harsh since I think it is understated, but I understand. What kills me is that everywhere I look, there are M badges (wheels/steering wheel, all door sills, dead pedal, shifter). I feel that it is way overkill and this is actually more stealth and genuine (BMW performance shifter). I am coming from an e92 M3 and feel the 550 is an excellent vehicle in its own right without need of M badging. Either way, thanks for the comment and reading the post!

I know this is an older thread but damn, the knob looks great. I've been debating on which one to get and definitely going to pick this one up.

Old thread, but does anyone know how to remove to shift knob? Is it as simple as pulling up on it firmly? Just want to make sure I don't break the thing. I recall pulling up firmluy worked on my old E39.

Thanks!
