Got rear ended... Can I get Rear M Sport Bumper Kit?

I am a n00b here and I really enjoy the forum
Unfortunately today I just got rear ended on the highway. I have a 2007 335i coupe. The collision was nothing crazy because there was no high speed as it was rush hour in NYC.
I need to change the rear bumper though and I am wondering if I could have any problems replacing it with this E92/93 Coupe/Convertible M Aerodynamic Rear Bumper Kit:
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

Or do you know any other better alternative?
Can I work out somehow with the shop designated by the insurance company to order this part instead of the original part? How can I do this?

The bumper will fit your car, I believe, so you can replace yours with it.

Thanks phillyfan
After some research I think I found the correct MTech part#:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...51&fg=17&hl=14
And the stock part# for my car is:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...79&hg=51&fg=17

Difference is ~$200. I need to see what the body shops will have to say about it.

Is the MTech aero kit coming standard on any of the new 3er models? Is this part of the M package?

when i got rear hit, the shop call local dealership to check the price for stock bumper which is like $700 unpainted for stock bumper, the insurance adjuster did the same thing. so i use the 700 to get the mtech for almost free. lol

glad it worked out good for you... can you confirm that the link I posted above is the correct part# I need? Do you get the diffuser with the bumper or you need to pay extra for that?
btw, you got any pictures with it on your car?

I think just about everybody uses INS money to get all Metch / aftermarket parts they want, pretty standard. I know i did New Hood, Mtech Front, M3 Sides plus a lot of other things.

For OP That Mtech should fit.

just take your car to your bmw collision center and have them estimate the repair including the mtech bumper instead of the regular bumper, they won't care.

then fuck whatever the other persons insurance adjuster says, they have to pay for whatever you get quoted from your repair place.

at least that is how it goes down here in florida
