BavDom 335i Intake
So we got the 335 Gruppe M intake installed in one of our company cars ($1800) and man oh man. So impressive we've decided to make a replica! If you're interested you can check out the link that says 335 intake below our sig. NASTY!!!

I'm glad to see that you guys are making a replica for the 335. Even at 900 though, that intake better show some gains on the dyno. I realize that the real deal is 1800 (ridiculous IMO), but 900 seems kind of steep to me at least for an intake. I guess if you can get it to sound good and offer gains, there will be a market for it.

I don't care if it's made from solid gold, an intake should be proven to provide some decent gains and it shouldn't be more than $250.
Unless it somehow adds 30+HP/TQ (which of course, it doesn't), $900+ for an intake...that's just ridiculous!

Well when someone says "man oh man", I'M thinking its a significant gain(15hp to 25hp). Just have to wait for the dyno sheet and convince myself that $900 is worth it.

I'd love to get one, but it's just hard for me to pay more than 300 bucks on just an intake.
How about buying the splitters back and maybe I'll think about it.

I think if you could show a dyno sheet and the actual GruppeM intake with the intricate components that you were talking about in the GB thread, people would have a better idea about it. It is a great deal at 50% off.

We're talking about Gruppe M intake, proven to gain over 10HP!! Please, I hate when people try and jack threads, if you don't like what you see then just move on! Some of us think this is a great deal, and it's something that might not happen for us because of people like you. GB only work when there's a Group. |

Considering the "real" performance mods currently avialable for the 335i (PROcede, XEDE, TT, etc.), I believe that most ppl here would agree that a $900-$1,800 "intake" that only gets you a whopping 10HP is one of the biggest rip offs on this Forum. For $1,300, you can get the PROcede (and for $1,080, the AA XEDE) which provides an additional 50+WHP and 80+ lb/-ft. RWTQ. Oh, I'm sorry, NOT for you in your NA 330i...it's only for the FI N54 in the 335i (and the 535i). Don't be a moron.

We shouldnt start another war here, just wait for the dyno sheets and proof to come out before everyone automatically thinks that it does absolutely nothing.

i'm pretty sure gruppe m would produce an intake that would have gains across the rpm range... i mean just looking at frogman's 330i gruppe m dyno you can see that although the gains arent great, there are gains across the whole chart.
