BavDom 335i Intake

So we got the 335 Gruppe M intake installed in one of our company cars ($1800) and man oh man. So impressive we've decided to make a replica! If you're interested you can check out the link that says 335 intake below our sig. NASTY!!!

I'm glad to see that you guys are making a replica for the 335. Even at 900 though, that intake better show some gains on the dyno. I realize that the real deal is 1800 (ridiculous IMO), but 900 seems kind of steep to me at least for an intake. I guess if you can get it to sound good and offer gains, there will be a market for it.

I don't care if it's made from solid gold, an intake should be proven to provide some decent gains and it shouldn't be more than $250.

Unless it somehow adds 30+HP/TQ (which of course, it doesn't), $900+ for an intake...that's just ridiculous!

Well when someone says "man oh man", I'M thinking its a significant gain(15hp to 25hp). Just have to wait for the dyno sheet and convince myself that $900 is worth it.

Please understand that we are selling the same intake that is being sold for $1800 for nearly half the price.

I'd love to get one, but it's just hard for me to pay more than 300 bucks on just an intake.
How about buying the splitters back and maybe I'll think about it.

I think if you could show a dyno sheet and the actual GruppeM intake with the intricate components that you were talking about in the GB thread, people would have a better idea about it. It is a great deal at 50% off.

but an intake will not get those gains at all. it will probably gain ZERO gains. maybe 1-2 hp at most...

I mean ppl can gain much more HP/TQ with a Turbo Tuner, and that's almost half the price of this "replica" intake. Sorry, but no thanks.

We're talking about Gruppe M intake, proven to gain over 10HP!! Please, I hate when people try and jack threads, if you don't like what you see then just move on! Some of us think this is a great deal, and it's something that might not happen for us because of people like you. GB only work when there's a Group.

im not jacking threads. and also you might want to do your home work so "please". show me a dyno on a 335 not a N/A 330 where this intake makes 10hp and then we will know its "proven"... till then you dont really have room to talk.

people like you that dont know what your talking about.

Excuse me..."get a Honda?" I've got a $53k BMW 335i, and I've chosen my mods carefully. Your comment is just plain retarded. Are you one of those guys that spends every penny of your paycheck just to afford a BMW?

Considering the "real" performance mods currently avialable for the 335i (PROcede, XEDE, TT, etc.), I believe that most ppl here would agree that a $900-$1,800 "intake" that only gets you a whopping 10HP is one of the biggest rip offs on this Forum. For $1,300, you can get the PROcede (and for $1,080, the AA XEDE) which provides an additional 50+WHP and 80+ lb/-ft. RWTQ. Oh, I'm sorry, NOT for you in your NA 330i...it's only for the FI N54 in the 335i (and the 535i).

Don't be a moron.

the best the intake will do is make the car sound louder... not really worth the 900 or so dollars.

Well I have a PROcede and exhaust already, so the TT does nothing for me. As far as the exhaust comment, an intake changes the "sound" of the vehicle as well .

We shouldnt start another war here, just wait for the dyno sheets and proof to come out before everyone automatically thinks that it does absolutely nothing.

Haha.. maybe you should do a little research before you post next time. First off, GruppeM intakes for the S2K are over $1800 also so getting a Honda won't due him much good. Maybe if people stopped believing that because they own a BMW things should be double the price then we wouldn't be getting raped by the aftermarket. For many other brand cars that sell for a similar price as 3er BMW's there is just as much R&D that goes into making aftermarket parts for them, but for much less money. Show me a dyno where a 335 gains 10hp and i'll be happy to sign up for 900.

I hate to say it but a knock off rolex (one just as functional as the original) does not cost half the price

I'm sure it makes 10hp at some RPM, but it would need to be across the board to be worth it. Even then it would be marginal.

i'm pretty sure gruppe m would produce an intake that would have gains across the rpm range... i mean just looking at frogman's 330i gruppe m dyno you can see that although the gains arent great, there are gains across the whole chart.
