E92 Tail Light Swap LCI to Non LCI

Hey guys,

I was wondering if it would be possible to go from an LED setup to a non LED setup? If possible what would I need? I've done some searching but all I find is how to convert to LED. Not the other way around. Thanks in advance.

I actually don't think it will work. I'm fairly certain you need a newer module to handle the new lights.

its been done many times already. you just need to get the bulb check errors coded out when upgrading to the LCI LED tails.

i believe going the other way should be plug and play since the LCI modules are programmed for LED already and won't check the bulbs.

I'm doing the swap tomorrow so I guess I'll find out it.

Am I missing something? Aren't the plugs different from pre-LCI to LCI? I just did this swap and needed adapter cables.
